Friendly and helpful. They've most likely got what you need and they'll help you find it or figure out what you need if you don't know.
I rarely write reviews, but then again, I can't remember a time when I felt compelled to drop the f bomb at an employee on my way out the door. I've grown up working retail from my dad having a small business, to owning one myself and have been in direct service to customers almost my entire working life Not long ago, I went in and bought two cans of spray paint for a project and the scope of the project ended up being smaller, so I had an extra can. I went into to return the unopened can of paint as it was within the posted 30 day return window. The guy behind the counter took it and started to look at the can as if it was going to be a normal return and then started talking about how he's not allowed to take back paint and that the boss has a list of things behind the counter that he's not allowed to take back. So my assumption was that I had missed a sign somewhere stating that all paint sales were final. If there had been one, I would have been okay with it. Instead, he took attitude of asking where it said that as being something he didn't want to deal with. He told me that he was going to do me a favor, but because I started walking around asking where the sign that said that was, he wasn't having it and I could keep my paint and leave and if I didn't like it, I could come back and talk to his boss Fred. Usually, if an employee says something like that, then they feel their boss will blindly back them up Well Fred, here I am talking to you, if my $10 is so important to you to be willing to put up having your employee jump to asking me to leave after wanting to see where you posted the all sales final on my item, then I feel just fine leaving this review. If you're going to have a list of items for your staff to get pissy with customers over behind the counter, PUT IT IN FRONT OF THE COUNTER WHERE YOUR CUSTOMERS CAN SEE IT AND MAKE THEIR OWN CHOICES ABOUT WHETHER TO ACCEPT ALL SALES FINAL OR REALIZE THEY WERE JUST BLIND AND MISSED IT. Don't make me and your employee get upset with each other because we're having bad days. He also shouldn't be so quick to lose it either. As I said, I've been in retail my whole life, feeling like you're getting attitude from a customer sucks, but our interaction was maybe a minute long. My dog passed away this morning, so maybe my energy was off, but you should really work somewhere other than customer service if your fuse is that short. For the $10 can of spray paint that you're forcing me to own via your staff with an attitude, even though I was following your posted 30 day return policy window for an unopened unused product, I am happily a customer of Ace, just around the corner on 4th, or the hardware store just down Yulupa and Home Depot really isn't that far away either.
