What is the Certified Locksmith Program?

Three badges a locksmith can earn on this directory, plus six trade skill badges. Every listing is assessed against the same rules from the same data, so a badge means the same thing everywhere on the site.

Can a locksmith buy a badge?

No. Paid placement exists on this site and is labeled wherever it appears, and it does not affect any badge.

What do these badges not cover?

No badge here is a license check, an insurance check or a background check. Confirm license and insurance directly with any locksmith before booking work.

How do I claim my badge?

Find your listing, then use the badge page to copy a line of HTML for your own site. If your listing does not hold a badge yet, the rules for each one are on its page.

How often are badges reassessed?

Every time the directory rebuilds. The year on the badge is the year it was last assessed, currently 2026.
