What Locksmith Listing collects when you visit, why it collects it, and how to opt out of analytics.
This page explains what information locksmithlisting.com collects from visitors and what happens to it. The short version is that we collect very little and sell none of it.
What we collect
There are no accounts on this site and nothing to sign up for. When you browse, our hosting provider records the usual server logs, which include your IP address, the pages you request, the time of the request and your browser type. Those logs are used to keep the site running and secure and are deleted on a rolling basis.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google. We have IP anonymisation switched on and we do not use the advertising features. You can block it with a browser extension such as Google's own opt out add on, or by refusing cookies in your browser settings.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email or phone number anywhere on the site. When you call a locksmith from a listing, the call goes straight to that business. We do not see it, record it or track it.
Maps and images
Maps on this site are drawn with tiles from OpenStreetMap, and business photos are loaded from Google. Your browser fetches those files directly from those services, which means they can see your IP address in the same way any website you visit can.
Listing data
The directory holds business information such as names, addresses, phone numbers and opening hours. This is business data that the businesses publish themselves. If you own a business listed here and want a detail changed or the listing removed, use the contact page and we will act on it.
Children
The site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here.
